Compostable Foodservice Items

Compostable plastics are produced from renewable raw material like starch (e.g. corn, potato). They are not toxic in production, nor do they release toxic material when biodegrading. Because compostables decompose back into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass, they are better for the environment than conventional plastic. Green Store's compostable eating ware is certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute.

Tax and an e-commerce platform fee will be added during checkout.

We will deliver to you, but please read our delivery policy.

We recommend biocompostables retailer World Centric if you do not live on campus or need delivery over a break. You also should be able to find compostable foodservice items at Costco.

Also, please remember that compostable eating ware is only better for the environment if you compost! For information on how to acquire compost bins on campus, visit our Waste Disposal page.
